… Gifts Four Brand New Vehicle

The Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, the Council Chairman, Hon. Vincent Oyebode has called on investors to bring their investment to Udu particularly in the oil and gas sector, energy, agriculture, commerce and industry.

Oyebode gave the call during the celebration of his 100 days in office at the council secretariat in Otor- Udu, Delta State.

He said with the LG hosting OML 65 which is Abura field, OML 34, the Otorogun Gas Plant and the presence of abundant natural gas investors in the gas to power sector will find the Local Government as a veritable place for the investment that will improve the lives of the people massively.

While appealing to the Emadadaja community to shelve their grievance and the ultimatum to NNPC E & P Limited, (NEPL) over the proposed flow station, he also called on the management of NEPL to commence the construction of the flow station to assuage frail nerves and boost the economy of the area.

He appealed for the cooperation of all Udu sons, daughters and stakeholders to complement his administration’s policies and programmes for their general well being.

Speaking on his achievements, he said upon their inauguration on July 15,2024, his administration had worked on some failed portions of roads on the Udu/ ECN road by Ovwian Grammar School, John Jeff Cement Depot, Cross and Stop, Mofor on the DSC expressway and front of Daddy Bakery for ease of vehicular and pedestrian movements in Udu.

 

He accounted on how his administration has s performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a new Executive Chairman’s office and personal assistant office, which he said would be completed and commissioned to mark his one year in office.

He said his 100 days in office has witnessed the promoting of peaceful coexistence and stability in Udu communities, rehabilitation of the council Secretariat, provided sound public address system and musical equipment to improve worship and service sessions of the council chapel.

Speaking on environmental sanity, he said a taskforce have been set up to help drive the vision of his administration towards a clean environment in Udu.

In fulfillment of his stewardship to the people of Udu Local Government Area, the Council boss, acquired four brand new vehicles to the Leader of the legislative Arm, the Head of Personnel Management, Secretary to the Local Government Council and the Treasurer of the Council.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of the vehicles to the beneficiaries, inspection of the new office complex under construction and presentation of gifts by groups in appreciation of his leadership role to the Chairman.

The event had the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP)Chairman, Hon David Siloko; the state Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Hon. Peter Uviejitobor and party faithful in attendance.
