…As He Commissions Projects In His Constituency, Donates ICT equipment
The legislative member representing ward 5B, Umuaji in Oshimill South Local Government Area, Hon. Anthony Chukwunwike has said he would stop at nothing in ensuring that the dividend of democracy gets across to the people of his constituency.
Chukwunwike made the pronouncement during the commissioning of a water bore hole and solar lights he donated to the people of ward 5B in Umuaji.
He promised not to fail them in the delivery of good leadership which he had earlier assured them of during his campaign as councilor.
Speaking on the motive behind his gesture, he said it was in appreciation and giving back to his people who called him to serve at the legislative arm of the Local Government.
Appreciating the lawmaker, the Oshimili South Vice Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Hon Somadina Anwuzia commended the laudable project of the Councillor, adding that he had proven to his people that he was indeed their true son who would continually get their support.
The Councilor, had earlier donated a complete set of Computer Desktop to students in Afadia Secondary School for the enhancement of their knowledge in ICT.
Presenting the computer system to the Principal of the school, Lady Bridget Okpu, he said the gesture was to help improve the academics of the students, especially in the area of Information technology.
According to him it was not the first of its kind, as he had earlier sponsored the educational pursuit of 30 students in the school.
In her remark, the principal urged other Councillors to emulate the good deed of Hon Tolefe by giving back to their society and assured the Councillor of judicious use of the ICT equipment.
Present at the Commissioning of the Project was the Hon. Felix Okolobia; Deputy Leader of the council, Hon Ike Egonu; Mr Austin Ogboma; Hon Ogbueshi Eloka Nwanze; Prince Charles Obi, Chief Emeka Ojogwu; Hon. Ifeanyi Okoloba ; members of Oshimili South Youth (OSY) ; members of Oshimili South Mandate (OSM) amongst others.
