Senior Political Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Sen. Emmanuel Aguariavwodo has charged youths in the state to work in synergy with the govt.
He gave the charge when youths from Grassroots Political Movement (GPM), PDP Ughelli North Social Media Team (PUNSMET) and Delta Youth Assembly (DYA) paid him a courtesy visit in Asaba, the state capital.
He urged the youths to continue with the good work they have started, stating that the state govt would ensure to do it’s part in acknowledging the efforts invested in the success of the party during the elections.
He acknowledged that the PUNSMET group was fully involved in the activities that concerned promoting the administration in a positive light.
The national Chairman of GPM, Mr Ochuko Erhiakpore, said the group is a political movement and has been a support group to the administration stating that they have worked very hard in a bid to ensure the success of the People’s Democratic Party during elections.
The Coordinator of PUNSMET, in his address said his team has been in existence since 2012 till date and still counting. “we are a formidable and proactive pressure group, full with potentials and have what it entails to take center stage of a media propaganda”.
On his part, the President of DYA, Comrade Gilor Kelly, in his speech presented the group as “a core supporter pressure group of the PDP and the administration”, he explained how the group worked tirelessly during the elections and pledged their continuous support to the growth of the state.
The groups went further to appeal to the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to use his good office to absorb some of their members into working directly with him so as to reciprocate their selfless support during and after the governorship elections.
They congratulated Aguariavwodo on his appointment and urged the administration to pay attention to their challenges so as to foster a good working relationship between the government and the youths especially those at the grassroots.
