The President General of the Delta Youth Coalition (DYC),Chibuzor Agunwa, also known as Mr. Dash has charged youths to be active in governance.
Agunwa gave the charge during the inauguration of executives members of the student youth wing from some of the local governments that were yet to be inaugurated in the DYC student wing.
Hr said it was youth o’clock and the right time for them to be represented in governance, ahead of the 2027 general elections, so as to achieve victory.
Agunwa said as key factor in electioneering, they should take thier place in ensuring good governance.
“As it stands right now, we must screen any candidate that we are supporting, so if you are a good candidate, of course, we’ll give you our maximum support as DYC”.
“DYC will not just support you because you are coming in to come and siphon public funds or to, you know, misdirect the vision of what we are pursuing”, he said.
He advised the youths to go to their various local governments and begin to converse on the right for the youth to come out and cast their vote during the election.
On her part, the Ward 5 DYC Women Leader, Evangelist Comrade Mrs. Happy Okolo advised them to be active in every political activities in thier various Local Government Areas.
She also enjoined them to ensure that they have their voter’s card as it their weapon and also identify with their Local Government Council Chairman and ward chairman.
