…Says Ukwuani Farmers Should Brace Up For Massive Support
In pursuance of his administration’s #DoMoreAgenda Agricultural Development goals, the Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Hon (Barr) C.S Possible Ajede, has reaffirmed his commitment to massive investments in the agricultural sector across the LGA.
Barr Ajede expressed this commitment when he received the executive members of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Ukwuani Chapter led by Chief Ezekiel Okpala, and the Obiaruku Farmers Association led by Mr. Mgbame Celestine in office.
During his robust conversation with the farmers, Ajede emphasized that the Council is interested in farming. “I am passionate about farming, and my focus is on supporting farmers. The administration is wholeheartedly committed to agricultural development by investing in the real farmers within Ukwuani communities,” he said.
The #DoMoreAgenda Torchbearer also disclosed that the council will soon initiate the establishment of Farmers Clubs in clusters across the 20 wards within the LGA, while adding that, the farmers should brace up as his administration’s strategic agro initiatives will soon commence.
The Ukwuani Council Boss also highlighted his administration’s objective of achieving food security through innovative approaches and strategic investments in farmers. “We want to make food available for the Ukwuani people,” he enthused.
Meanwhile, Barr Ajede has urged the farmers and agro-allied stakeholders across the LGA to collaborate with his administration’s agriculture development goals and food security objectives to transform Ukwuani into an agrarian economic hub in the state.
In their separate remarks, the farmers’ associations congratulated the Executive Chairman on his election victory and subsequent inauguration, while acknowledging his past achievements as eloquent testimony that resulted in his re-election.
The groups unveiled their plans to the chairman and pledged their support and dedication to advance the #DoMoreAgenda agricultural development goals of the Ajede-led administration.
They also prayed God to grant him the wisdom, grace and resources to deliver on all his plans for the Ukwuani people.
