Academic Staff Union of Secondary School of Nigeria (ASUSS) leadership in Delta State have discountenance the purported news being carried by certain online platforms on allegations of financial recklessness and high handedness, etc, as totally false, unfounded and a product of the writer’s imagination.
This was made clear during a press briefing today by the ASUSS leadership in Asaba.
The leadership cited it as unbalanced in it’s reportage. Where from, the leadership urged the general public and most importantly teachers to discountenance such as it is the handiwork of detractors bent on tarnishing the image of it’s Chairman, Comrade Kenneth Okoh and his executives.
The leadership implored journalists to always confirm stories from all parties before going viral with unverifiable stories.
Meanwhile, the union has been barely existing as a name before Comrade Okoh came in to give it a body with great effort.
It was also revealed that the State Administrative Council of the Union are fully in the know about how the Union is being run and that Comrade Okoh who also doubles as the Assistant National Secretary General, couldn’t have been entrusted with such position by the national body if he was running foul in the State.
It was also disclosed that the SEC of ASUSS, Delta State were very satisfied with the performance of the State Chairman.
