Muslim faithful from the arewa community have extended appreciation to the senator, representing Delta North, Hon Ned Munir Nwoko for his magnanimity towards making the celebration blissful.
The Delta North Cordinator of Arewa, Alhaji Abdullahi Suleman commended the Senator, for the gesture towards the people, adding that it was the first of its kind in the senatorial district.
Suleman prayed God to continually bless Nwoko and for more peaceful coexistence between the Hausa community and Deltans
He also thanked the governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his tremendous achievement in his one year in office and for accommodating members of the arewa community in his cabinet.
Speaking on behalf of the northern traditional rulers in the state, the Sariki of hausa community in Agbor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gali said the love they have enjoyed from the Senator, cannot be taken for granted adding that they will continue to live in unity with all Deltans.
On his part, the Secretary of traditional rulers, Gambo Adamu said he was grateful to Ned Nwoko for having their interest at heart.
Gambo also thanked the governor, his deputy, Sir. Monday Onyeme and the senator for reaching out and carrying the hausa community along in all activities.
He assured them of peaceful coexistence with Deltans having spent so much of their life time in the state.
On his part, the Special Assistant to the state governor on youth mobilisation and the arewa youth coordinator in the state, Yusuf Musa, said he was overwhelmed by the gesture, as it was uncommon and an evidence of the actualization of the governor’s MORE agenda.
Speaking, the one of the Arewa Youth coordinator in Agbor, Aliyu Abdullahi said the action of the Senator was rare and a welcome development. Thanking him, he assured Nwoko of their support.
The Chief Imam of Obiaruku, Ahmed Mohammed prayed Allah to bless him and alleviate Senator Nwoko in his political career.
The woman leader of the Arewa Community in Asaba, Hauwa Ibrahim, while expressing joy over Ned’s gesture, said it was amazing and very emulating.
Hauwa said Ned had proven to be outstanding from other political leaders, as he had always been there for the electorates before, during and even after the election.
She said Ned’s act was evidence of God’s leading and prayed God to help him attain greater political height.
On her part the woman leader of Akwukwu Igbo, Fatima Adamu said the good will was unexpected as no leader, has appreciated them after election like Nwoko did.
She prayed God to preserve him with long life and more wisdom, she also expressed gratitude to the coordinator of Arewa community(Alhaji Abdullahi Suleman) for his leadership prowess.
One of the aged female beneficiaries, Murjanatu Gali appreciated Nwoko for his love and for not forsaking them after the election, she also thanked Abdullahi for his effort in ensuring that they benefit from the good will of the Senator.
She prayed Allah repay him for his good deeds and that nothing come in between the peace and unity they share with Deltans.
