The wife of the Delta State governor and founder You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori has charged market women in the state to be intentional in their businesses
Oborevwori gave the charge during the end of year get together of wives of traditional rulers and market women traders at government house in Asaba, Delta State.
She urged them to build a cordial relationship with their customers, so as to be able to expand their business frontiers.
The founder of You Matter Charity Foundation, will commending them for the vital roles they played in Oborevwori-led administration, assured them of maintaining the synergy her office already have with them.
She appreciated the coordinator of the Market Women Association in the state, Mrs. Kate Onah for her leadership prowess and for carefully selecting the beneficiaries from all the markets across the state.
According to the first lady of the state, her office had reached out to one thousand petty traders in the state because of the value they place in the Oborevwori-led administration.
Deaconess Oborevwori appreciated the queens for being at the part of the occasion, adding that their presence had added colour to the event.
In her words the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Catherine Onyeme lauded the initiative of Deaconess Tobore, describing her as a woman of great vision and purpose, whose passion for bridging the gap between government and women is truly inspiring.
Onyeme added that her Excellency firmly believes in empowering women and ensuring that their voices were not only heard but also reflected in decisions that shape their communities.
While thanking them for honoring her Excellency’s invitation, she said that their presence was a clear reflection of the trust and confidence they have in her leadership and genuine concern for their growth and success.
The wife of the Deputy Governor, urged them to reflect on the achievements of the past year, remain steadfast in their efforts and contributions to the growth of our state, adding that they were the backbone of the economy, hence the recognition for their hard work and determination.
She prayed to God to bless the work of their hands and grant them abundant joy, peace, and prosperity in the yuletide and the coming year.
On his part, the Commissioner of trade and investment, Hon. Samuel Oligida enlightened the women on how to grow their businesses and not being indebted for the sake of their businesses.
The Special Adviser to the governor on Women Development, Mrs Eunice Ayira, thanked the governor’s wife for her tireless love for the women.
