The Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Isaiah Bozimo has reiterated the commitment of the State Government towards equipping the staff of the Ministry with relevant tools to enhance their efficiency and productivity in service delivery.

Mr. Bozimo stated this in Asaba while presenting laptops to non legal officers of the Ministry .

The Attorney-General said that the laptops was a symbol of the commitment of the State Government in ensuring that the welfare of personnel in  Ministry of Justice and civil servants  in the employ of Delta State Government in general .

He told the beneficiaries of the laptops that  Governor Ifeanyi Okowa recently presented similar laptops to over 200 legal officers who are the state counsel, adding that the Ministry deemed it fit to extend the goodwill to its non legal staff.

Mr. Bozimo, who urged the beneficiaries to redouble their commitment to service delivery, noted that the Ministry and the State Government at large expected to do more in their various primary assignments.

He enjoined them to make judicious use of the working tool so that the essence of purchasing them would not be defeated.

In his remarks, the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Erebe  Omamuzo stated that as an integral part of the Ministry, the Attorney-General felt there was need to carry the non legal officers along in the distribution of laptops.

He disclosed that it was the laptops of the same specifications given to the State Counsel that was also given to the non legal officers and appreciated Mr. Bozimo for his open door policy and for meaningful impacts he had created in the Ministry since assumption of office.

A beneficiary who responded on behalf of others thanked the Attorney-General for the goodwill , adding that the tool would ease their jobs while recalling that the Attorney-General had given them several trainings on ICT among others.

The Public Relations Officer in the Ministry, Mr Onoriode Etatsemi an assistant Director and the Director of Production and Research, Mr Emmanuel Evueh, who spoke separately in an interview as beneficiaries, commended the HAG including the SG/PS for the gesture remarking that it is the first time in the Ministry that they are experiencing this kind of innovation.

The PRO added that this goodwill well enhance their Proficiency on duty and will as well motivate them to work harder at all time in keeping with the job schedules of their Bosses,” which explains the adage that says to whom much is given, much is expected of him”.
