Elected and Political Appointees Forum of Ughelli North Local Government Area, has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Sheriff Oborewori on his infrastructural transformation of the state.

The vote of confidence was passed during a meeting of the forum hosted by the Director General, Delta State Contributory Health Commission (DSCHC), Dr Isaac Akpoveta at his country home in Ofuoma, Ughelli North, weekend.

The vote of confidence which held that Governor Oborevwori has surpassed expectations since taking the saddle of leadership in the state, was moved by the Board Chairman, Delta State College of Health Technology, Ofuoma, Dr. Chris Oharisi and seconded by the member representing Ughelli and Udu at the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Mr. Sylvester Ovbidje.

Addressing its members Chairman of the Forum, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, lauded the state governor for his strides in ensuring equitable development of the state.

Egbo who was newly elected and sworn in as the Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, commended members of the forum for their support and cooperation before and during the electioneering period that resulted in his victory and that of the PDP at all level at the poll.

Also speaking, the Director representing Delta Central at the Direct Labour Agency, Engr. Christabel Obiuwevbi, described Governor Sheriff Oborewori as a leader of impact, adding that his unmatchable developmental strides was responsible for the successful outing of the PDP across the state in the recent local government elections.

Speaking in the same vein, in a brief interview with journalists after the meeting, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oborevwori, Sir Festus Ahon, disclosed that the Governor will be commissioning some projects in the next few weeks.

Earlier in his remarks, the host, Dr. Isaac Akpoveta said the state governor has been magnanimous in his leadership style by ensuring that everyone is carried along and no tribe or section of the state was shortchanged.
