… As DTSG Hands Over Edifice To CAN
Delta State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Snr, Apostle Sylvanus Okorote, has pronounced the state as one that would soon be 100 hundred percent dominated by Christians.
Okorote made the pronouncement during the handing over of the association’s Secretariat to the Christian body by the state Government.
He said that by reason of the edifice, Deltans who were yet to know Christ would come to know him and many would come to Christ.
The association’s Chairman thanked the state government for providing shelter for the Church of Christ.
He decreed that the Secretariat was blessed, sanctified and that as it is being used more blessings would come upon the state
Expressing pleasure over the gesture, Okorote prayed God to bless the state and keep her safe from every form of evil.
Presenting the keys of the edifice to the state CAN Chairman, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Housing, who was represented by the Director of Public Building, Architect Pius Arhomano, said the project was an evidence of the state government’s love for God.
He charged the Christian body to guide the facility jealously as it was rare to find such magnificent edifice in many states across the country.
The project was done by North China Construction Company and contemporary design, supervised by the Ministry of Housing.
Speaking the representative of the construction company, Architect Tony Obiakor said he was glad to have completed the 2000 seat capacity edifice with well-furnished offices for all the executives of the association, conference hall, dressing rooms, conveniences, sound studio room, equipped musical instruments, 500 KVA generator and transformer.
Obiakor admonished the Christian body to set up a committee that would monitor the maintenance of the project and ensure that they make proper use of the facility which was well equipped and built with high quality standard materials.
Highlight of the event was the inspection of the edifice by the Chairman and members of his executives, alongside the Director from the Ministry of Housing, Architects from the North China Construction and staff of Contemporary design.
