…As Permanent Secretary Frowns At Illegal Migration

Delta State Commissioner for Youth Development, Barr Trakiriowei Harry ThankGod has advised youths in the state to avoid the illicit use of drugs.
Barr Trakiriowei gave the advice during a road walk against youth involvement in crime and social vice organized by the State Ministry of Youth in partnership with the fitness community in the state.
He said its use was of no value to the youths, as it only helps in destroying the lives of the users. He urged them to stay away from social vices, as they were capable of tarnishing the image of the state.
The Commissioner admonished them to key into beneficial activities that will add value to their lives.
He revealed that the state governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori had provided opportunities that would better their lives, hence the need for them to support the MORE agenda of the state governor.
Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Ngozi Mogbolu frowned at the illegal efforts made by youths to migrate to foreign countries.
Mogbolu advised them to desist from such acts and follow the due process of traveling abroad so as to avoid risking their lives.
She charged the youths to embrace positive things as there was more to gain in living right.
The Permanent Secretary said the Ministry was ready to strengthen the values of resilient youths who have a vision of contributing to the growth of the state.
Highlights of the event were talks on drug abuse, Internet fraud, illegal bunkering, all forms of violence, and networking, as it also featured a long walk in the state capital, Asaba.
