Delta State Government has approved the stoppage of collection of funds from Tricycle and Motorcycle Riders in the state under any guise, until the ongoing review of existing fees is concluded.
The state governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa gave the approval, in a press statement signed on March 23,2023 by the Secretary to the state government, Chief Patrick Ukah.
He advised Tricycle and Motorcycle Riders in the state not to pay any form of levy to any person or group of persons until further notice.
He also warned that anyone or group of persons caught violating the directive would be made to face full wrath of the law .
