Are you willing to take a bet?
It is easy to measure the offerings, hospitality, uniqueness and essence of Emmannys Place, a one-stop shop for life and leisure.
But one of Emmannys Place biggest selling points is its tranquility and the calming effect it has on visitors. This freedom from the rush of urban life makes it a place to be any time. The hangout is also reputed for its sumptuous meals, courteous staff, soft lighting, comfortable seating, elegant ambiance, immaculate dining tables and a personal touch that induce guests to return for repeat visits.
For those who may not know, Emmannys Place is the idea of Chief Chris Clive Amuta, a food and wine connoisseur who has a reputation for excellence, business development, team work, innovation, philanthropy and extensive travels.
It is almost impossible for anyone to read the story of Emmannys Place without being thrilled by the bravery and quiet heroism of Amuta, an extraordinary entrepreneur who is keeping his son’s memory alive. The moving story of Emmannys Place actually began one quiet evening many years ago, at Amuta’s London home. “My son, Emmanuel saw my passion and culinary interest, and immediately took a liking to cooking and related cuisine arts. He particularly loved and enjoyed my food, its creative presentation, the planning of menus, decorative food displays and managing food preparations, things that I’m adept at. Then one evening, he said to me “Daddy, when I turn 17, I will open a chain of restaurants in Stratford and Central London.” A childhood dream that constantly reminds me of my adorable son. But it was a dream that never came true because he passed on in 2017 before his 17th birthday. Today, I am living my son’s dream. It might interest you to know that Emmanuel my son chose the name Emmannys Place, and I am happy that I adopted and maintained the name because I know he is happy on the other side”.
For Chief Amuta, there is a great deal at stake in this latest leisure business in Asaba, and he is not leaving anything to chance. It is obvious that he is very much aware that he must keep the flag of honour flying over Emmannys Place in memory of his departed son that remains unforgettable. Secondly, Amuta must support wholeheartedly, every initiative around food delivery in line with the dream of one of his most treasured possessions (his son). And lastly, Emmannys Place must retain the imprint of quality the Amutas are well-known for, both in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world where they have left a mark.
Like every smart businessman, Amuta knows that the journey ahead is long and winding. So, he is not resting on his oars yet. “I am not oblivious of the challenges ahead, but I am confident because this is a familiar terrain. More so, I know from my travels, that food is life. Remember that I ran a food service business that met very high culinary standards back in the day in the United Kingdom. Although our vision here in Asaba is just beginning to unfold, I know that we can reenact our success story abroad here in spite of the difficult challenges we face as a business in Nigeria”.
That vision, from the optimistic outlook of this fledgling and promising relaxation centre will draw substantially from service delivery. According to Amuta, foods, fruits and vegetables will not only be served fresh, preparation of food and waiting time must be excellent. The outlet, as a matter of principle, is also working very hard to ensure that every guest leaves satisfied.
Amuta who holds a degree in Small Business Development from Coventry University, United Kingdom, has vowed to change the face of relaxation business in Asaba with Emmannys Place. And he hopes to announce his arrival officially, and loudly too, on the outfit’s highly anticipated Grand Opening on February 14, which is incidentally, Saint Valentine’s Day. Those who hope to be at Emmannys Place on February 14 will be treated to a luxury buffet, five-star treatment, a complimentary car wash and a free drink. All these and more await you at Emmannys Place, beside Delta State Broadcasting Service, DBS Asaba.
