Commissioner, Delta State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr Godfrey Enita has promised to consolidate on the existing structure laid by his predecessor in ensuring that there is food security in the state.
Enita made this known while addressing Journalists shortly after his swearing in as Commissioner in Asaba.
He said upon meeting with principal officers in the ministry, he would ensure work kicks off.
Expressing delight over the inauguration of Dr. Enita as Commissioner, the Permanent Secretary, Mr Ben Agamah said they were ready to receive him to join them in the food security struggle.
Agamah said with the endowment of the state in robust agro ecology, which makes farming ready all through the year, food availability would always be in abundant.
Earlier, the former Commissioner in the Ministry, Chief Julius Egbedi assured Deltans of the new Commissioner’s ability to deliver on the stronger Delta vision of Okowa.
Egbedi said with the platform already established in agriculture, he was optimistic that Dr. Enita would ensure that the governor, finishes well.
