Delta State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza has said that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s development strides in the state had made his job as chief spokesman for the government much easier.
Dr. Osuoza made the declaration when he received on courtesy visit, Executive Committee Members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Delta State Chapter, led by its Chairman, Mr. Godfrey Osakwe.
The commissioner appreciated members of the Institute for helping to drive home the policies and programmes of Governor Oborevwori’s MORE agenda.
While urging the NIPR to continue to play its role as a critical partner with the state government in delivering dividends of democracy by communicating government’s activities to the grassroot.

Dr. Osuoza noted that Governor Oborevwori was passionate about the development of all parts of Delta State, stressing that every part of the state would benefit from the government’s MORE agenda.
Speaking earlier, Delta State Chapter Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Mr. Godfrey Osakwe noted that Dr. Osuoza’s track record as an erudite communicator would stand him in good stead in projecting the development initiatives of the Oborevwori administration.
Mr. Osakwe averred that though the current perception of leaders in Nigeria as “great masters of intrigues” had increased the trust deficit between citizens and their leaders, the Institute, as a body backed by law, was in the business of relationship management and would do everything within its enabling law to encourage its members to “up their game and create engaging content to amplify the successes of the present administration.”
The NIPR Chairman informed the commissioner that by March 31st, 2024, the Institute will start the enforcement of weeding the system of quacks, as the Institute certification remains the prerequisite for any individual in the practice of public relations profession in any part of the federation.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the Institute’s membership form to Dr. Osuoza.
