… As Over 35 Members Receives Free Medical Glasses, Drugs, Health Care
The President of Ubulu Unor Women Association, Lagos branch, Mrs Uche Mordi has called on Ubulu Unor citizens to key into development strides.
Mrs Mordi made the call during the monthly meeting of the association and medical outreach for members of the association.
She urged them to contribute towards meaningful development that will benefit their communities.
The President appealed to the sons and daughters of the town to support the many incomplete projects in Ubulu Unor, so as to give the town a face lift.
Speaking during the medical outreach, Mrs Mordi said the gesture was to help the beneficiaries have a fit medical status.
According to her, many of them, were not aware of their status, but for the medical check up.She however admonished them to always do a routine check on their health status as ignorance of it had led to the untimely death of many persons.
The President, said the gesture was the first of its kind, adding that they had earlier organized craft and other vocational workshop for members.
Highlight of the event was the blood pressure checkup, testing of their sugar level and presentation of eyeglass, and drugs to both the men wing of the association.
