Regarding his senatorial function and continuing to serve, Minister Simon Lalong is facing a political conundrum. According to the Court of Appeal’s decision, Lalong was the legitimate Plateau South senatorial candidate.
Currently, Lalong, a former governor of Plateau state, is undecided between taking a position in the Senate or staying in Tinubu’s cabinet.
Lalong was proclaimed the election winner by the tribunal, and this decision was affirmed by the Abuja appellate court. Lalong revealed his uncertainty and incapacity to choose between accepting his Senate position and continuing as a minister in a recent video.
