The Executive Secretary Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has sent a message of hope and encouragement to Nigerians in the face of dwindling economic situation in the country.

The NCPC Scribe made this known on Monday,  February 19,  2023 during a courtesy visit to the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) His Eminence, Archbishop Daniel Okoh in his office at the CAN Secretariat , Abuja.

He described his message to Nigerians as that of encouragement and hope, stating that the situation the country is experiencing currently is occasioned by global recession.

Bishop Adegbite called on Nigerians to exercise patience and should be optimistic that things would definitely turn around for good in the country.

He affirmed that President Bola TInubu has good intentions for the citizenry

He further urged Nigerians to pray for those at the helm of affairs in the country.

He reiterated that NCPC is for the Church. According to him,” this assignment belongs to you and the body of Christ”.

The NCPC helmsman averred that he would use NCPC to foster unity among the citizens of this country. He explained that without peace in the land there would be no meaningful development.

He assured the number one Christian leader in the country that the Commission would collaborate with CAN under his leadership in order to make Pilgrimage a life transforming experience.

He hinted that the Commission plans to sponsor pilgrims to the Holy land , especially those who are disadvantaged.

In his remarks, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN His Eminence, Archbishop Daniel Okoh described the NCPC boss as a defender of the Faith, a co- labourer in the vineyard of God “.

His Eminence thanked God for the appointment of Bishop Stephen Adegbite as the Executive Secretary of NCPC.According to him” I thank the Lord for this your appointment at this time we are looking for more christians to have experience of Pilgrimage”.

The President of CAN said he was aware of the challenges facing the Commission in terms of funding and the rest, however, he promised to continue to uphold the Commission in prayer.

In the words of Archbishop Okoh, ” you have demonstrated great understanding of Pilgrimage over the years , prior to your appointment”. Thus he said he has what it takes to pilot the affairs of NCPC to higher heights.
He urged him to continue to bring people together so that the Commission would leverage on it to bring everyone together under one body .

He prayed for the success of the government of President Bola TInubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi TInubu. He said the President and the First Lady have extended their hands of fellowship to the apex Christian body.

The President of CAN posited,” if we want to be happy, we should pray for those in authority in the country to succeed”, he said.

The NCPC boss was accompanied to the courtesy visit by all the Directors of the Commission and key management staff.
