… Nobody from Nsukwa Clan Will Contest For Aniocha South Local Government Council Chairmanship in 2024
Youths under the aegis of the Nsukwa Clan Progressive Youths have endorsed the second term bid of the Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Honourable Jude Chukwuweike based on his landmark achievements.
The youths who are members of the People’s Democratic Party drawn from the various communities in Nsukwa Clan pledged their support for Honourable Jude Chukwuweike to enable him to consolidate on his remarkable achievements during a meeting at Nsukwa, Aniocha South Local Government Area.
The Leader of the Nsukwa Clan Progressive Youths,Chief Malaki Chukwuma said the youths who form the support base of the PDP have resolved to support the second term aspiration of Honourable Jude Chukwuweike.
He affirmed that they have agreed that no son or daughter of Nsukwa Clan should vie for the Chairmanship position of the Aniocha South Local government Council as they have zoned it to Ubulu clan which the present Chairman, Honourable Jude Chukwuweike hails from.
Chief Chukwuma said Nsukwa Clan had also agreed that after the second term of Honourable Jude Chukwuweike, Nsukwa Clan would produce the next Chairman of Aniocha South Council in 2027 and will also produce the Chairman of the PDP for two consecutive tenure beginning from 2027.
The Vice Chairman of the Aniocha South Local Government Council, Honourable Rachael Adigwe commended the youths of Nsukwa Clan for their resolve to support the second term of Honourable Jude Chukwuweike and their resolution to produce the next Council Chairman in 2027.
She advised them to shun any act of aggressiveness in their pursuit and go about their aspirations peacefully while canvassing the support of other clans to achieve their desire noting that the Oborevwori administration had displayed youth inclusiveness with his appointments.
Honourable Adigwe said she was pleased that youths of Nsukwa Clan were speaking in one voice about their political future and congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the governorship tribunal.
The Deputy Leader of Aniocha South Local Government Legislative Arm, Honourable Ugochukwu Ikeikuni who represents Ward Twelve Isheagu said they have resolved that nobody from Nsukwa Clan would contest the Chairmanship position of the council following their resolution for the continuity of Honourable Jude Chukwuweike.
He said based on their agreement, power would shift to Nsukwa Clan which would produce the next Council Chairman in 2027 and lauded the achievements of Honourable Jude Chukwuweike.
Others who spoke including a Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development,Honourable Precious Okocha commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing youths into various positions of authority and called on Nsukwa clan youths to stand by their resolution as power would shift to Nsukwa clan in 2027.
At the meeting, a resolution was passed following a motion moved by Honourable Ugochukwu Ikeikuni that Nsukwa Clan had resolved to support the second term of the Chairman of Aniocha South Council, Honourable Jude Chukwuweike and that the Chairmanship position would shift to Nsukwa Clan in 2027 and was seconded by Honourable Jude Igbueze and adopted.
