…As DPG Prays For Churches, Delta State Government,
The State Cordin DPGator on religious matters, Apostle Cyril Okonye has described the transformation of the Directorate of Politics and Governance, (DPG) as God ordained.
Okonye disclosed this during the prayer retreat with the theme, enriched by grace which held in Ibusa, Oshimili North local government.
He said God”s grace which was at work singled the religious support group which galvancised massive vote from the Church People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in the last election.
Taking his text from the bible book of first Corinthians chapter four, Okonye commended members of DPG for their patience, adding that it was an empwerment by grace.
Commending the bold step taken by the governor in sanitising his cabinet of fruadlent act, he prayed God for wisdom upon Oborevwori to eradicate corruption in his administration.
Apostle Okonye urged them to support the governor through the instrument of prayer, adding that their assignment in helping him actualise his MORE agenda is all encompassing and demanding.
The prayer session had the state deputy Director of DPG, Rev. Benjamin Esemitaye; Assistant Director Admin, Bishop Dr. Jonathan Dike; Assistant Director Finance, Pst. Tina Buluembele.
Highlight of the event was prophetic enthronement of leaders in the 25 Local Government Councils and intercessions for economic empowerment, divine health, prayers for the governor and his cabinet, for the policy and programmes of the state government, the tiers of government, for familes, the Church, good governance in the religious bodies amongst others.
