Following the inability of the youth body of Itsekiri National Youths Council,(INYC) to adopt a new constitution the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has disbands INYC leadership.
This was made known to The Hill Nigeria Media shortly after the Monarch ‘s meeting with members of the group..
The decision to dissolve the executive of the youth body was as a result of their failed effort in having a constitution which would guide their activities.
It was revealed that since the existence of the group, occupying of executive position had been based on certain leaders selection of their loyalist.
The Monarch in his wisdom, announced that only persons below the age of 40 will serve as an executive and be eligible to contest for election in the Itsekiri youth body, after the constitution has been set up.
Ogiame Atuwatse III (CFR) at the well attended meeting, while drafting the Presidents of National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, (NAIG) and National Association of Itsekiri Students, (NAIS) into the new constitution drafting committee, appointed Chief Omolubi Newuwumi and Chief Wilson Olley as Advisers, said more members were likely to be added to the committee whose assignment he said would elapsed by the end of January 2025.
