the Senator representing Delta North in the Senatorial District, Sen. Ned Nwoko on yesterday commiserated  with the Ibru’s family on the passing of Olorogun Oskar Ibru.

Nwoko who represents Delta North Senatorial District in his condolence message, described the late Ibru as an iconic businessman.

He also described the scion of  the Michael Ibru dynasty of Agbarha-Otor in Ughelli North Local Government Area in Delta as a beacon of excellence.

“I received with deep sadness,  the news of the passing of Olorogun Oskar Ibru, an iconic businessman and one of Nigeria’s most respected corporate leaders.

“He was not only a pioneer in the private sector but also a beacon of excellence, hard work, and resilience, whose impact went far beyond the boardroom.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of Delta North, I extend my sincere condolences to the Ibru family, the Urhobo nation and all who were touched by his remarkable life.

“This is indeed a painful loss but we take solace in knowing that Olorogun Oskar Ibru lived a full, impactful life,  dedicated to service, enterprise, and humanity.

“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” Nwoko said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Ibru, a billionaire industrialist and Chairman of the Ibru Organisation, died on Tuesday at the age of 67 after a brief illness, according to a statement by the family.
