Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has announced Saturday, August 31, 2024 as the date for the state Congress.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the State Secretary, Engr. Dan Ossai, MNSE, CEng.
According to the statement the event will take place at the Cenotaph in Asaba by 10:00am.
Delegates and Aspirants for various offices are directed to be seated by 9:00am.
It stated that all the categories of persons mentioned above must still be members of the Party.
Those expected to be present at the congress are the Governor and the Deputy Governor of the state, former Governors and their Deputies, serving and Former Members of the BOT, members of the party’s State Executive Committee, serving and former members of the NEC and ZEC, serving and former members of the National Assembly, serving members of DTHA and former Principal Officers DTHA, Local Government Council Chairmen and their vice, All Local Government Party Executive Members, All National Assembly and Delta State House of Assembly Candidates of the PDP in the last general election, three Delegates from the Wards, former members of the State Working Committee of PDP, former Local Government Area Party Chairmen, one Physically Challenged Person per Local Government Area, all serving elected Local Government Councilors, all serving Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen, Secretaries, Women and Youth Leaders of the wards in the state and all National Delegates.
