The Commissioner, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Kelly Penawou has called for more synergy from staff of the directorate in fulfiling the agenda of the Delta State governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevbori.
Penawou gave the call during the handing over ceremony at his office in Asaba.
Expressing optimism in their support, he said he is hopeful that they would work as a team like they did during his last adminstration as Special Adviser to the immediate past governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa.
Commending their dedication to work, the Commissioner urged them to build on the past relationship he had with them.
He advised them to be prepared to work as a family with him so as to reach their goal, adding that he operates an open door policy which gives room for recieving advise from them.
The Commissioner, said in working in line with the policies of the governor, the Directorate as the supervisory body would encourage the Council Chairmen to consolidate on the visions of the state governor.
He added that thiers was to pusue the governors agenda at the local level to make sure that the LGAs tap into the MORE agenda of the state governor.
He promised to help ensure that they introduce the governor’s agenda to the people at the grass root level.
