Senior Political Adviser, the the Delta State Governor, Sen. Emmanuel Aguariavwodo has charged Deltans to champion the course of peace in the state.
Aguariavwodo gave the charge when he received a delegation of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Asaba branch at his office in Asaba.
While commending the leadership for sustaining the age-long group, he advised the umbrella body of the Urhobo ethnic nationality, to promote more peace and unity in the state.
Describing the Urhobos as people known for thier forthrightness and boldness adding that their existence on earth was not a mistake.
On his part, the Chairman of the group, Olorogun Dr Austin Akpede assured the Senior Political Adviser of their support towards ensuring that the governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori finishes well.
Akpede, while congratulating the Senior POLAD on his appointment, said they trust him to help the governor deliver on his service to all Deltans.
Akpede appealed that political appointments, civil service jobs and empowerments be given to members of the group
