Ahead of the Ramadan season, the Councillor representing INEC Ward 11, Desic Ward 13, Hon. Jubril Audu has empowered over 70 persons.
This was made known during the appreciation of some widows, Imam, less privileged and old persons in ward 11 during the empowerment ceremony in Asaba, 
the lawmaker said it was geared towards ameliorating the economic impact on the beneficiaries during the fasting period.
He said the gesture which was in different phases was in the first stage, adding that as the representative of his people at the grass root he tends to ensure that they were happy in the midst of financial challenges
Hon. Audu revealed that the goodwill was also extended to his constituents who comprises of Christians and Muslims.
Beneficiaries who were filled with joy, prayed God to bless and elevate the lawmaker, who has always had their interest at heart.

The Leader of the legislative arm, Rt. Hon. Michael Okonji commended the lawmaker for representing the governor at the ward level, by bringing down governance to the grass root.
Okonji said said he was impressed as the empowerment was in line with the MORE Agenda of the Governor.

Speaking, the Ward All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman, Mr Uzor Amechi Johnson revealed that it was the first time in his 30 years of politics that he was witnessing such gesture from a councillor during the Ramadan season.

Present at the event was the Vice Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Council, Hon. Chinye Uso-bobo, popularly known as Mama West and some Muslim Clerics.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of bags of rice, provision items cash gift and award of scholarship to a young boy into primary school.

While appreciating the Councillor, he expressed optimism of more development to the Ward
