The Executive Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Community Development, Hon Taju Isichei, popularly known as Ikuku, has advised newly sworn in Councillors of Oshimili South Local Government to understand their functions and deliver on the purpose for which they were elected.
Isichei gave the advise while speaking with our reporter in Asaba, the state capital.
He said as representative of their various wards, they should bring in rules that will make the environment conducive for their people.
He advise the lawmakers not turn the Legislative House to an animal farm or animal kingdom where they carry chairs to fight each other they should be matured enough to settle their differences.
He advise the lawmakers to do away with violence in the course of their sittings, adding that they should not engage in fight themselves.
Isichei said as matured people they should be able to drive home their points and agree without rancour.
He urged them to work with the Chairman, Hon. Obi Kelvin Ezenyili so as to achieve a peaceful tenure, adding that they should emulate the peaceful disposition that existed in his last administration.
