The winner of the Aniocha South House of Assembly ticket, under the  All Progressive Congress (APC), Prince Rister Agbabumeze Izedunor, has assured the people of his constituency of delivering the dividend of democracy to them.

Rister gave the assurance while speaking with Pressmen during the Party’s primary election for the House of Assembly in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.

He said he was ready to beat other political parties  by ensuring that the true dividend of  democracy which they have all envisaged was delivered to them.

While thanking God, whom all power belongs to and the APC family in  Aniocha South for supporting him in delivering a mandate that would result to good governance in the coming election, he urged them to trust God for victory in the 2023 general election.

Frowning at the denial of good governance to the people of Aniocha South, for the past twenty-four years, he said he was glad to have gotten the ticket to lead his people so as to bring about the change they have all prayed for.

On his part, the Party LG Chairman, Mr Norbert Akachukwu Sochukwudima said going by the election which was free, fair and credible, it was a win win for all.

While commending the aspirants, Sochukwudinma said they were true Party men, hence, Dr Okafor, who scored second position should embrace the spirit of sportsmanship by support his brother who emerged winner in the election to ensure that they win in the general election.

He said with God, the reign of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in Aniocha South would be a thing of the past.

Also speaking, the returning officer, Hon. Williams Deniran, said he was impressed by the peaceful conduct of the delegate during the exercise, in voting their choice candidate.

Deniran said that with the transparency in the voting process, there would be no reason for any litigation coming from the result that emerged.

The election which had 54 accredited delegates, witnessed Prince Rister score 49 votes while  his opponent, Dr. Stanley Afamefune Okafor, got five votes
