Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Delta State, Sir Festus Ahon, has described the just-concluded South-South Zonal Congress of the All Progressives Congress as a historic gathering marked by unity, consolidation, and renewed political strength across the region.
Speaking with journalists after the congress, Ahon expressed gratitude to God for the peaceful conduct of the exercise, noting that the event signaled a new chapter of political alignment and cooperation among states in the South-South zone.
He commended governors and party leaders in the region for what he described as their wisdom and foresight in coming together under a common political platform, the APC ahead of future elections.
According to him, the congress represents a major step toward strengthening the region’s political relevance at the national level.
“This is a congress of unity and consolidation. After a very long time, the South-South zone is coming together under one political party to actualize the aspirations and dreams of the people,” Ahon said.Politics
