Delta State, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart, Hon. Paul Adingwupu has described the affirmation of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as Governor Delta State by the Supreme Court as been a fair judgement.
Hon. Adingwupu made this known to our reporter shortly after the declaration by the apex court.
Commending Justice John Okoro who led the five- man panel in the delivering of the verdict in the case filed by Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Ken Pela of the Labour Party, said the judiciary has proven to be just in the delivery of justice to Deltans.
He thanked Justice Okoro for not heeding to pressures that would have interfered in the judicial process and caused chaos in the state.
Congratulating the governor, Hon. Adingwupu said prior to the court judgement, he had no doubt that the verdict would turn out in favour of the state governor, as he had won the March 18 gubernatorial election with wide margin.
He said Omo-Agege’s stories on election not properly recorded at some polling unit were mere lies to set the state in disarray.
He added that the prayers of Gbagi to disqualify Oborevwori and that of Pela for the apex court to nullify the entire election and order a fresh one were gimmicks to hinder the already existing development that the governor had kick started in line with his MORE Agenda in the state.
