…Harps On Dangers Of Social Vices
The Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Development, Hon. Taju Isichei poplar known as Ikuku, has highlighted the dangers of student’s indulgence in social vices.
Isichei made this known when he paid a visit to Osadennis Mixed Secondary School, West- End Secondary School and some other schools in Asaba, the state capital.
He warned the students to abstain from things that would endanger their lives, adding that if not it would lead to ailment that they would not be able to handle.
He advised them to save themselves the trouble of becoming a liability to their families and society at old age, as a result of the effect of the drugs they would have taken during their young age.
While emphasizing on the effect it has on the students, he said engagement in cultism and drug abuse can deprive them of their pride of place in the society, hence the need for them to stay away from the use of illicit drugs and bad peer group that would not add value to their lives.
Expressing gratitude to the Executive Assistant, the Principals of Osadennis Mixed Secondary School, Mrs and West- End Secondary School, Mrs Augusta Ogeah said they were pleased with his visit and said they had no doubt its impact will reflect in the attitude of the student.
While appealing for more of the visit, the Principal of Osadennis Mixed Secondary School, said the school will be glad to have him mentor the students some of whom where not in school as at the time of the visit.
