The Director General of the Coalition of Delta Farmers, Mr Takim Loveday have extended gratitude to the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for coming to their aid.
Takim gave the commendation while speaking with our reporter in Asaba.
He said the governor has fulfilled his MORE agenda of more development, through his pro-active measure desilting and opening up of the Anwai river to river Niger to ensure a free flow of water desilting of the Anwai river.
He said the governor not only desilted the river but also ensure their business environment where hundred of person earn their livelihood from which cut across youth adult, retirees, market woman benefit from an enabling environment for fish farm and other agricultural activities.
The farmer also appreciates the Vice Chancellor of Dennis Osadebay University, Prof. Ben Oghojafor and also the state Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Jamani Ejiro for their support towards making it possible.
Takim assured the governor of their productivity in the state in enhancing food security.
Other cluster farms operating along the Anwai river who benefitted from the governor good deeds are the Association of Camp 74 fish farm, Okowa cluster fish farm. Anwai river basin, Orchard cluster fish farm, Dennis Osadebay cluster fish, Delta agro cluster fish farm and Dennis Osadebay University Demonstration cluster fish farm.
