Catholic Bishop of Issele uku diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Michael Elue, has charged catholic faithfuls to boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus.
The Cleric gave the charge during the confirmation of 228 candidates at St Michael the Arch Angel Catholic Church, Okpanam, Delta State.
He urged them to exercise the gift of the Holy Spirit on them, by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ as Lord with fear nor shame.
Bishop Elue advised them not to be afraid of telling people about Jesus, adding that with the power of the Holy Spirit upon their life they can never be silenced.
He urged them to always invoke the power of God, wherever they are, adding that the power of the Holy Spirit was one that cannot be resisted.
Highlight of the event was the professing of their faith before the congregation, the Bishop laying of hands on them, thanksgiving and award presentation to some members of the Church.
Some of the Confirmed candidates who spoke with our reporter, promised to preach the gospel of Christ to nations and allow the Holy Spirit lead them in all they do.
