Delta State Commissioner for Youth Development and Chairman, Awareness Creation Committee for Enlistment into Military and Paramilitary Services, Hon. Harry ThankGod Trakiriowei has called on the people of Oshimili South Local Government to key into the ongoing military recruitment exercise.
Trakiriowei gave the call when he led a delegation of the Committee on a courtesy visit to Oshimill South.
Speaking, he said that the visit was under the directive of the state governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori who felt it right to have the people of the Local Government participate in the exercise.
According to Trakiriowei, it has been noted that their indigenes have not been part of the military, hence the need for the visit.
On his part, the Permanent Secretary of directorate of Political and Security services, Mr Theophilus Aguonye charged the people of Oshimili South to take advantage of the ongoing military recruitment
While commending Deltans who have registered, he urged the people of Oshimili South to encourage their children to participate in the recruitment exercise.
Responding, the party Chairman, Chief Chike Ifesiokwu assured the Committee of synergising with them to ensure that thier youth register into the military
