Eugene Azuka Uzum has advocated for a unified Ultramodern digital television and radio transmission station with high frequency reach for a better dissemination of public information in the state and beyond.
Uzum, a lawyer, public analyst and an advocate of good governance in Delta State, stated this against the unwholesome disinformation causing unnecessary political tension in the state.
He said the state government should concentrate its effort on a unified Ultramodern digital television and radio transmission station in the state with an enhanced transmission outreach to all the parts of the state and beyond, instead of the fragmented situation of transmission in the state.
He maintained that other neighbouring states, such as Abia, Anambra, Edo,etc, were already enjoying such unified transmission of information in their respective states, wondering why the case had been different in Delta State, several years after its creation.
Uzum said whatever was responsible for the anomaly should be rectified, adding that not only would the awakening bring about greater and unified public information dissemination in the state, but would reduce running costs and enhance budgetary allocations, infrastructural development and gadgets update for the station.
