The Executive Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Community Development, Hon Taju Isichei popularly known as Ikuku, has described the Chairmanship candidates of Oshimili South , Hon Kelvin Ezenyili as the pride of the Local Government.
Isichei made this known during the ward to ward campaign in Ward 5, Umaji, Asaba
He said the party leaders had done well in discovering Ezenyili, adding that he has proven to be their true son by making them proud, throughput his giant strides in his first three years in office.
He said the battle started i ward five, when they threw their support behind hi, adding that they had already planned to pick him as Chairman, even before he made his intention known.
Isichei said he was happy Ezenyili heeded to the clarion call as he is one of the future the people are seeing in Oshimili South.
He appealed for the construction of the road leading to Delta line transport in Umuaji so as to reduce traffic in Nnebisi road and for provision of solar street light.
He also requested that numbers appointment in the ward be increased so that they can enjoy the dividend of their struggle.
Earlier, the ward Chaiarman, Ogbueshi Chinedu Nwokolo said he was proud that the ward was the pioneer of the EKO movement, which many persons once kicked against, but today are gathered to celebrate Ezenyili.
Nwaokolo advised all to come out and vote for the Peoples Democratic Party in the July 13, 2024 local government election.
Presenting the Councillors to the party leaders and Chairmanship candidates, Chukwuma Ajufor assured them of the Councilors support towards the growth of the LG.
Ezenyili said he was glad to identify with the ward and the visit them, despite the heavy rainfall, adding that their massive turnout was an evident of their love and support towards him.
While soliciting for votes for the councillors representing the wards, the Chairmanship candidates urged them to for his sake vote for them as he would work with them to ensure that the LG gets more development.
Present at the event were the party leader, Chief Edwin Uzor; the LG Party Chairman; Ogbueshi Dada Okonji; the member representing Oshimili South in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu, amongst others.
