The Chairman of Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Dcn Joseph Otirhue has disclosed the reason why he dedicated his Award to God and the governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori,
Otirhue made this known while speaking with Journalists during the 13 edition of the Peace Legend Award in Asaba.
He said God has been the reason behind his lifting and that the state governor had given him the opportunity to serve, hence the need to attribute the honour to them.
He thanked God for making the organisers find him worthy of the honour of the award of excellence in recognition of his efforts in repositioning the Commission,given to him.
The award which was in commemoration of 33rd anniversary of the state, was also to commend the Chairman for his peaceful disposition and for contribution towards promoting peace in his local government and the state.
Responding, Otirhue said the award given to him it would spur him to do more for Deltans.
While admonishing Local Government workers to be committed to their duties, he assured the local government employees of improve welfare and better condition of service.
The Commission Chairman applauded the governor for his prudency and charismatic leadership and his exemplary commitment to building and advanced state.
