The Director General of the Delta State Contributory Health Scheme, Hon.Dr. Isaac Akpoveta has been recognized with a Prestigious Award for Commitment to Excellence and Leadership by The Pointer Newspaper.
This was made known during celebration of the 30th anniversary of The Pointer Newspaper in Asaba.
The Director General ascribed his success in the discharge of his duty to the state governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
While dedicating the award to the state governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and to the good people of Delta state, he thanked him for finding him worthy to serve in his cabinet.
He commended the governor for paying the bills of the common man in the society that can hardly pay seven thousand naira for their health insurance and the pregnant woman that can’t pay five hundred thousand naira to deliver their child.
He extended gratitude to the state government for their intervention towards the health of all Deltans, which he said is carried out by the Commission.
“After my tenure, I want ensure that vulnerable persons who can hardly afford to attend to their health issues enjoy easy access to medical care during and after my tenure”, he said.
On his award, he said it was an indication of his diligent to work, hence it would spur him to do more better for all Deltans.
