The Delta State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Godknows Angele, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the people of Delta State on the 35th anniversary of the creation of the state, describing the milestone as a celebration of decades of growth, resilience and infrastructural transformation.
Angele, while speaking with The Hill Nigeria Media said the journey of Delta State over the past 35 years had been marked by significant developments across various sectors, particularly in infrastructure.
He commended successive administrations in the state for their contributions to the development of roads, bridges, housing projects, healthcare facilities, schools, urban renewal projects and other critical infrastructure that have continued to shape the state’s landscape.
According to him, the infrastructural foundation laid by past governors has provided a strong platform upon which the present administration has continued to build.
The Commissioner particularly applauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for sustaining the tempo of infrastructure development through his MORE Agenda, noting that the administration’s investments in roads, housing, healthcare, education, drainage and urban development were positively impacting communities across the state.
He said the administration’s focus on infrastructure was not merely about constructing physical projects, but about improving connectivity, stimulating economic activities and enhancing the standard of living of Deltans.
“As Commissioner for Housing, he I am proud to be part of an administration committed to providing decent housing and promoting sustainable urban development as essential components of the state’s overall development agenda”, he said.
He further called on Deltans to appreciate the contributions of past administrations while supporting the present government in its efforts to consolidate the gains recorded over the years.
The Commissioner urged citizens to continue to promote peace, unity and responsible citizenship, stressing that the sustained development of Delta State required the collective efforts of government and the people.
He wished Governor Oborevwori and all Deltans a happy 35th anniversary, expressing optimism that the state would continue to witness greater infrastructural development, prosperity and improved quality of life for its citizens.
