Delta State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Godknows Angele, has commended the Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Her Excellency Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, for her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable persons through impactful humanitarian interventions across the state.


Angele gave the commendation during the Foundation’s outreach programme in Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government Area, where children living with autism and other special needs, alongside other vulnerable residents, benefited from life-changing interventions.


Describing the initiative as a demonstration of compassionate leadership and selfless service, the Commissioner said Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori has continued to complement the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori by extending hope and support to the less privileged across Delta State.


According to him, the outreach underscores the First Lady’s deep concern for the welfare of vulnerable citizens, particularly children with special needs who require greater care, inclusion and support.


He applauded the Foundation for providing free medical consultations and essential medications, as well as distributing assistive educational devices and physiotherapy toys to children living with autism and other disabilities.


Angele further praised the Foundation for donating food items and 21 wheelchairs to beneficiaries, noting that the gesture would significantly improve the mobility, independence and quality of life of persons living with disabilities.


The Commissioner also commended the Foundation for sponsoring a hip replacement surgery and donating ₦5 million to one of the beneficiaries, describing the intervention as a life-saving gesture that demonstrates genuine compassion for humanity.
He called on well-meaning individuals, corporate organisations and philanthropists to emulate the humanitarian example set by Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori by investing in programmes that uplift vulnerable members of society.


Reaffirming the Delta State Government’s commitment to inclusive development, Angele said initiatives such as those of the You Matter Charity Foundation complement government’s efforts to ensure that no resident is left behind in the delivery of healthcare, social welfare and empowerment.


The outreach attracted community leaders, government officials, healthcare professionals and residents, who commended the Foundation for bringing relief, hope and renewed smiles to vulnerable families in Burutu Local Government Area.
