The All Progressives Congress (APC) has directed that all results arising from the National Assembly Primary Elections be centrally collated and officially announced in Abuja.
In a press statement dated May 17, 2026, and addressed to all Chairmen of National Assembly Primary Election Committees, the party emphasized that established procedures must be strictly followed in the collation and announcement of election results.
According to the statement, the procedures include ward collation, Local Government Area (LGA) collation, designated constituency collation centres, and the submission of all results and reports to the party’s National Headquarters.
The APC further stated that no committee is permitted to conduct media briefings within their respective states of assignment. It added that any official briefing, where necessary, would be carried out exclusively in Abuja after the submission of all results.
The directive was signed by the APC National Organizing Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, who urged all concerned officials to be guided accordingly.
Copies of the statement were also sent to APC state party chairmen across the country.
