… As Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria Forms New Executive
The Publisher of The Frontline Newspapers, Dr. Dan Dike Awana has successfully emerged as Chairman of the Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN), Delta State Chapter.
He was declared winner after the other two aspirants, Prince Charles Umejei, publisher of National Trumpet, and Chief Daniel Ekiugbo, publisher of Ughelli Times declined to contest during an election to form the Executive of the Association at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre in Asaba, Delta State.
This election of new Executive members was sequel to the expiration of the Jude Obiemenyego led administration since December, 2023.
The Executive committee comprises of eleven other members which include Madam Felida Essi as Vice Chairman, Prince Godwin Obaigbena as Secretary, amongst others.
The new Chairman while speaking with Journalists shortly after his election, promised to take the Association to an enviable height.
He called for support from members of the Association towards ensuring the promotion of grassroots development in line with the MORE Agenda of the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
