The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has said that Pilgrimage under his watch would certainly experience rejuvenation.
He disclosed this on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 while playing host to the executive members of the Women Wing of the Christian Council of Nigeria who paid him a courtesy visit at NCPC Corporate headquarters, Abuja.
He expatiated that Pilgrimage would no longer be a jamboree, rather it would be spiritually rejuvenated and fulfilling.
The NCPC boss maintained that NCPC mandate goes beyond pilgrimage as peace is also embedded as part of the Commission’s focus. He posited that it is only where there is peace, there would be development. According to him, “we will ensure we have peace among ourselves and interfaith”.
He assured the Christian mothers that he would leave a lasting legacy in NCPC. His words, ” we are going to leave an indelible marks in the sands of time”.
He further emphasized that the country needs prayer, prayer for Mr President and prayers for all our leaders in authority.
He emphatically affirmed that it is a new dawn for christian pilgrimage in Nigeria and a new beginning for NCPC.
He described the Christian Council of Nigeria as a dogged faithful Christian body , highly resilient who would never accept defeat no matter the situation.
He pledged his support for them, especially in advancing the cause of Christian women in Nigeria.
Earlier, the National President of the Women Wing of the Christian Council of Nigeria, (CCN), Rev. Mrs Uzoaku Williams acknowledged that the NCPC boss has been a formidable member of CCN. She described his appointment as a well deserved one
She explained that he had done very well in interfaith harmony in Nigeria and has made history as the first member of CCN to occupy the exalted position of the Executive Secretary of NCPC.
The National President Also affirmed that considering the rich pedigree of the NCPC helmsman, she had no iota of doubt that his tenure would be impactful.
