In continuation of its activities, the Delta State Livestock Management Committee has discovered 35 flashpoints of illegal cattle grazing in the state.
Revealing this to pressmen at his office in Asaba, the Delta State Commissioner for Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Chairman of the Committes, Dr Godfrey Enita said the committee would step into actions to ensure that they are apprehended and made to faced the law.
Enita said it was about time for implementation of policy of the Committee, adding that taskforces would be engage to track the locations and offenders of the law.
He said, “we are at the implementation stage and it time to swing into action after the many meetings the Committee has held in previous times and we would also sensitise the people again”.
According to him, the implementation would kick off in the coming month after the profiling of the selected taskforce by security personnel.
The Commissioner said the confirmed taskforce officers would be engaged in the start off of the Committee’s implementation activity.
While responding to questions on continuity of the activities of the Committee, Dr Enita said since it was a statutory body, it would continue in the next \administration.
