The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied reports that its Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, declared that “seven out of 10 Nigerian students are criminals.”

The commission spokesman, Dele Oyewale, argued that a section of the media misrepresented Olukoyede’s statement.

Olukoyede emphasized the need for extensive media enlightenment to combat internet fraud among youth, stating that if it continues, seven out of 10 Nigerian students may be involved in cybercrime.
