Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oshimili South Local Government Area have received a House of Representatives aspirant for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, during a consultative meeting with party executives ahead of the party’s forthcoming primaries written by Oshimili South media team.

The meeting, which was organized at the instance of the aspirant and coordinated by the Oshimili South APC Chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okolo, also known as Igwe Omenife, served as a formal consultation between Elumelu and the leadership of the party in the local government area.

The gathering attracted several party leaders and stakeholders including the member representing Oshimili South in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Bridget
Anyafulu; the leader of the party in Oshimili South and Special Adviser to the Governor on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Edwin Uzor; Hon. Darlington Ijeh; Hon. Ikechukwu Maduemezie; Hon. Shedrack Rapu; the State Treasurer of the party, Ogbueshi Anselm Oniawa; Chief Eloke Asiegbu; Hon. Izuka Okonkwo; Obi Agbogidi Dr. Ikechukwu Nwajei, alongside party executives from the eleven wards of the local government area.

Rt. Hon. Elumelu attended the meeting with members of his campaign organization including the Director General of his campaign, High Chief Nnamdi Darlington Ijeh, and the Assistant Campaign Coordinator, Hon. Austin Chikezie, as well as other supporters and members of the campaign team.
Addressing the gathering, Elumelu commended the Oshimili South APC chairman, Dada Okolo, for his leadership and coordination of party affairs, describing him as a unifying figure in the local government area. He also appreciated the ward chairmen for their dedication and cooperation with the party and appealed to the executives to support and nominate him as the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.
The aspirant highlighted some of his achievements during his previous tenure, including the provision of electricity infrastructure such as step-down transformers and solar street lights in Asaba, contributions to the security and health sectors with the construction of a College of Nursing Sciences, and the provision of 72 housing units for personnel of the State Security Service.

He also noted the establishment of vocational centres across the constituency and reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Oshimili South, which he described as his home community.
In his remarks, APC chairman Dada Okolo appreciated the aspirant and his campaign team, assuring him of support while expressing confidence that the party would produce the best candidate through a credible process.
