High Chief Ambassador Mayor Chinedu Enujeko, Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Youth Mobilisation, has taken the lead in facilitating the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration, INEC continuous voters’ registration and National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment for party members and residents of Ward 6, Ubulu-Unor.
The well-coordinated exercise brought relief to APC faithfuls and eligible voters in the community, as High Chief Enujeko personally handled all logistics, transportation and mobilisation efforts, ensuring that no willing participant was excluded from the ongoing registration processes. Through his intervention, over 270 persons were successfully enrolled for NIN registration, a key requirement for APC e-registration.
The initiative commenced on Thursday, January 15, with widespread sensitisation across the community by ad-hoc personnel recruited by Enujeko to educate residents on the importance of registering with the APC, the ruling party at the federal, state and local government levels. However, it was discovered that a large number of villagers lacked NIN, posing a major obstacle to their participation in the APC e-registration exercise.
Determined to eliminate this barrier, the Ubulu-Unor-born leader swiftly took decisive action. High Chief Enujeko mobilised residents to NIN and INEC offices in Asaba and Ogwashi-Uku using chartered buses, personally covering all associated costs. He also ensured that officials at the relevant offices accorded the participants the necessary attention upon arrival.
Despite initial setbacks—where NIN officials were reportedly unable to register any individual after several hours of waiting on a particular day—the organiser remained undeterred. In his resolve to achieve the objective, Enujeko secured the services of a private agency and fully financed the registration of each affected participant to guarantee their eligibility for APC e-registration.
The exercise reached a new milestone on Friday, January 24, 2026, when High Chief Enujeko facilitated the deployment of NIN officials directly to Ubulu-Unor. As of the time of filing this report, more than 270 residents had been successfully registered for NIN and APC e-registration simultaneously, with arrangements in place to also accommodate INEC continuous voters’ registration. The exercise remains ongoing to cover as many eligible indigenes and residents of Ward 6 as possible.
Speaking from his country home in Ubulu-Unor, Chief Enujeko, an APC steward in Ward 6, assured that the registration exercise would continue throughout the period approved by the party and INEC. He pledged that every eligible adult and APC member without a voters’ card or official party registration would be accommodated.
He further urged party members, particularly those previously indifferent to party activities, to take advantage of the opportunity, noting that governance has become increasingly digital. According to him, possession of NIN and proper e-registration is now indispensable, just as BVN is required in banking transactions.
High Chief Ambassador Mayor Chinedu Enujeko’s initiative has been widely commended as a model of grassroots mobilisation and effective political organisation, setting a standard for others to emulate.
