Delta State Coordinator on Religious Matters, Apostle Dr. Cyril Okonye, has expressed fulfillment in his commitment towards the victory of the state governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
Okonye disclosed this while playing host to the media team of the Directorate of Politics and Governance, (DPG), during their courtesy visit to his office in Government House Asaba.
Okonye said he was pleased to identify with the political party describing it as the people’s choice which was clearly proven in the March 18, 2023 election.
Thanking God for the privilege to drive religious matters in the state, he said he trust God for wisdom to pilot religious affairs in the state.
The State Cordinator on religious matters, commended the immediate past Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa for standing by the governor all through the court case.
While appreciating members of the media team for the energy they put in galvanizing support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he urged them to keep up thier good works.
He urged them to ensure that the upcoming prayer retreat in the state gets good coverage, as it will be well attended.
Speaking on behalf of the media team, Mr Onome Tanno commended the force with which Okonye mobilized support for the governor’s victory and also the prayer networking which led to Oborevwori’s victory in the 38 litigations which he conquered at different levels.
