Delta State — The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North witnessed an unprecedented show of solidarity as thousands of party faithfuls, stakeholders, and supporters gathered in a historic political event hosted by Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Nwoko.
In an interview granted by Arise TV, Dr. Michael Nwoko, Chief of Staff to the Senator, described the turnout as unmatched in the political history of the district.
What we are witnessing here today is an unprecedented gathering of party faithfuls, supporters, stakeholders, and leaders of the APC in Delta North Senatorial District — as well as many from other parts of the state,” Dr. Nwoko said.
“We initially planned for about 2,200 constituents, but over 5,000 people turned up. Even after bringing in 1,000 extra chairs in addition to the 4,000 chairs at the venue, many were left standing. This is a clear indication that the people of Delta North have come out en masse in support of the party — and in solidarity with Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Nwoko.”
Dr. Nwoko emphasized that while the event was convened by the senatorial chairman in line with APC structure, it was hosted by Senator Nwoko — whose popularity and influence were on full display.
This isn’t just a political meeting; it is a powerful expression of love and support for the party and Senator Ned Nwoko,” he continued. “Among those present were dignitaries from other senatorial districts, including the State Party Chairman, who also expressed amazement at the turnout.”
He concluded with a confident projection of the party’s future in the state:
Delta is APC. Delta North is APC. The Senator has clearly received a vote of confidence from the people, and there is no doubt that he is on course to return in 2027 as the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District.
